Stocks I'm Watching Closely
- TDY - Regularly beats earnings, P/E is low for the markets it is in.
- ANSS - Aerospace type stock, has beat earnings for the past 40 quarters.
Stocks I've Sold
- SBUX - 3/02/07 - Reasons described on stock's page.
- KFT - 4/03/07 - I received some Kraft stock when Altria (MO) spun it off. I sold it immediately, as I didn't have any interest in or knowledge of the company.
- MO - 11/19/17 - Altria has been doing well, but there don't seem to be any further catalysts for growth, so I've sold it for a double-digit profit.
Retirement Accounts
I keep all of my retirement moneys in mutual funds so I don't screw myself with a few bad buys. I currently have my retirement portfolio weighed pretty heavily in the risky side, with 60% of my funds in US securities, and 40% in international securities - 30% in a global fund, and 10% specifically in Latin America.
Moved all of this to Vanguard, will update with that info soon.
Future of my retirement accounts
I plan to move to index funds eventually to take advantage of their lower fees, but currently can't as my main retirement accounts still have to be with Fidelity until I stop working at the company providing the retirement account.
Savings
I keep my savings in a savings account at WaMu - and it's currently getting a 5% yield. They only offer this rate if you sign up for a savings account online while signing up for a checking account. Check out the WaMu Online Savings Account page for more info (look under Relationship Rates).
